Come explore Novanta.SummaryThis job is responsible for performing routine and non-routine tasks involved in the shipment of materials, supplies, and equipment.Primary ResponsibilitiesPackage product for shipment as required.Monitor and manage shipping supplies; prepare purchase requisitions to replenish supplies as needed.Perform data entry on computer.Monitor bin inventory levels in shipping areas and replenish as necessary.Operate from established procedures. Maintain an ongoing updated Log Book for BOMs an drawings.Job encounters regular and recurring work situations. Contacts are made on own initiative with other departments and/or carriers concerning matters requiring explanation, discussion, interpretation, or approval.Perform other related duties as assigned.Contributes to team effort.General TasksMaintain compliance with the quality, occupational safety and environmental regulations.Implement the instructions of the quality / environmental management representative and the occupational safety specialist.Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and CompetenciesHigh School education or equivalent reading, writing, and math ability.Less than 1 year of experience.Previous warehouse experience is a plus.Travel RequirementsNonePhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs in weight on a semi-repetitive basis.Standing and sitting while performing duties and tasks.Compensation and BenefitsThe base pay for this position ranges from $19.00 per hour up to $26.00 per hour depending on the geographic market.Dependent on the position offered, annual bonusses and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of the compensation package.Novanta supports all aspects of your life's needs.
