Job Summary:Performs material handling duties which include the delivery and stocking of all materials, supplies,equipment, and other items at CHBWV. Processes and maintains required administrative records.
Education/Experience:Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent. Must qualify as fork-lift truck operator, crane operator, and Radiation Worker as required.
Licenses/Certifications:Must possess a valid driver's license.
Major Responsibilities/Duties/TasksMust be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.1. Responsible for attaining department results in a safe and efficient manner by receiving, unloading,inspecting, and delivering stock and non-stock materials, supplies, and chemicals for site use.4. Controls inventory by issuing materials to authorized personnel; processing withdrawals via CostPoint.5. Ensures accurate records by entering all receiving and shipping information into either CostPoint orSMAC system.6. Maintains proper storage facilities by determining correct storage location for all materials andchemicals; placing no chemical materials in computerized vertical storage units; determining properlocation for hazardous chemical shipments.7. Prevents stock shortage by monitoring physical inventory levels.8. Operates material handling equipment and vehicles.9. Fills item requests and secures Warehouse by escorting employees and contractors in theWarehouse; issuing items from the Warehouse Window.10. Assist with GSA Fleet as requested; obtain mileages, schedule maintenance work, process billing, anddeliver fleet to needed repair appointments.11. Maintains department historical files by processing and maintaining required administrative records.12. Regular attendance is required.13. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Other Requirements:*Computer skills including basic skills in database management, basic computer proficiency and technical aptitude in a Microsoft Windows environment, including Word and Excel.*Possess organizational skills and attention to detail.*Must be able to work under general supervision and follow detailed written and verbal instructions to perform assigned tasks according to established procedures.*Must be able to obtain and maintain a HSPD-12 badge which requires an Office of Personnel Management (OPM) background investigation, OPM clearance for this badge is required following hire.
