Description
As the Marketing and Social Media Manager, you will responsible for identifying support to the development of new business opportunities that enable the agency to grow in new market areas. This includes involvement in strategic planning with agency leadership and stakeholders to identify emerging trends. We ask that you have an awareness of organizational growth initiatives and opportunities related to existing and emerging markets and target customer segments, as well as the agency’s potential to meet customer needs with a program or service. Be a resource in the creation of proposal strategies and persuasive content, analysis of opportunities and RFPs, collaboration with external partners.. You will report to the Chief Advancement Officer and work on-site.
Responsibilities:
Develop promotional campaigns in pursuit of business opportunities that align with strategy to grow and sustain the agency.
Manage search engine marketing (SEM) and social media prospecting and retargeting campaigns with proper tracking codes and parameters through leading bidding platforms.
Develop and implement marketing communication strategies as they relate to public information and other programs.
Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity.
Develop and implement marketing communication strategies as they relate to promoting public awareness of the agency and its offerings.
Produce valuable and engaging content for online and social media to attract and convert target groups.
Monitor and reports on effectiveness of marketing efforts and communications. Create dashboards for ongoing analysis of results.
Work collaboratively across the agency to synthesize and analyze issues that lead to strategic and operational insights.
Analyze and recommend opportunities for new business growth and develop strategies in imaginative and functional ways that add value to agency programs.
Participate in cross-functional teams and build relationships with key internal and external partners and stakeholders.
Direct the activities of Marketing and Public Relations Manager(s) and model competency in all areas of the Business.
Be a liaison to funding agencies.
Participate in internal marketing efforts and content creation (social posts, blogs, etc.) and remain up to date on current trends while continuing to bring fresh thinking to the content.
Test new ads, landing pages and tactics on an ongoing basis to improve overall campaign conversion.
Employ resourceful, creative thinking and an ability to anticipate business needs with the expectation to work 5+ months in advance of creative deployment, while remaining flexible to implement in-moment changes to content calendar or creative execution.
Engage and monitor the services of external consultants to secure new business.
Conduct research or direct others to conduct research to monitor trends, direct the course of a project, or answer important decisions.
Lead ad hoc assignments, as assigned, to support key agency initiatives.
Requirements and Education:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university required. Master’s degree preferred.
Seven to ten years’ related experience required.
