Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Outside Machinist for a project located in and around the San Diego County, CA area . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $27/hour plus $150 perdiem to candidates that live 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:

Install, Maintain Repair Ships Propulsion Auxiliary Systems; Steam, Turbine, Electrical Propulsion Systems, Rudders Steering Gear Elevators Navy Systems

Install, Repair Maintain Ships Fluid Systems including; Pumps, Compressors, Purifiers, Heat Exchangers, Actuators Valves

Test Equipment Ensure Systems Meets Specification

Install Test Various Shop Equipment

Assembly Installation of Complex Mechanical Systems

Other Tasks as Assigned

Requirements

3+ Years Relevant Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Must Pass Drug Screen Background Check

Must have OSHA 10 Maritime Fire-watch Certification

Must have Respirator Fit Completed Prior to Completion

Must be Available for All Shifts

Ability to Read Blue Prints, Interpret Mechanical Drawings, Written Instructions Technical Manuals

Ability to Read Comprehend Hydraulic Pneumatic Diagrams

Proficient in Use of Precision Measurement Tools

Must ave Shop Mathematical Skills with an Understanding of Geometry, Trigonometry, Work with Decimals Fractions

Ability to Use Hand Power Tools Machining Tools
