Summary About the Position: This position is located in the Operations Division with the US Army Corp of Engineers, New England District. You will serve as the Marine Operations Officer at the Cape Cod Canal with responsibility for providing direct technical supervision over all government vessel operations, maintenance activities and support facilities to include all temporary and permanent berthing. Responsibilities Serves as the Marine Operations Officer for the organization providing direct technical supervision over vessel operations and/or maintenance activities and/or support facilities. Develops maintenance plans for all vessels and marine facilities. Prepares and manages operating budgets. Ensure all maintenance activities meet requirements. Plans and secures necessary tools, supplies, and equipment for all maintenance operations. Performs contract inspection work for all contract vessel maintenance. Provide direct technical leadership to personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
