JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position: Manufacturing Engineer Location: Brookfield,WI Job Id: 225 # of Openings: 1 SUMMARY OF POSITION: Under thedirection of the Plant / Facilities Engineering Director theManufacturing / Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for technicalsupport for both large and small-scale projects as well as providingengineering support to the maintenance department. This team member willlead capital expenditure projects from recommending alternatives tointernal stakeholders in the concept design phase through productionstartup while achieving the both project budget and time deadlines. Theteam member will provide guidance to the maintenance team and supportexternal vendors in troubleshooting difficulties and implement solutionsby investigating problems, using some independent evaluation, selection,and application of engineering techniques and procedures. PRINCIPALRESPONSIBILITIES: Manage projects related to equipment / facilityoptimization and improvement. Create layouts in cooperation withproduction Managers, operators and maintenance team members. Developsdesign and installation specifications along with commissioning plans toinsure operational needs are met including maintainability andreliability requirements. Write bid documents that outline scopes ofwork necessary to fully defining project requirements. Develop timelinesand budgets for the equipment / facility projects. Obtain bids, procureservice and manage contract services needed for installation of newequipment and/or building improvements as well as relocating currentequipment. Ensure proper scheduling of resources to maximize amount ofwork completed while minimizing equipment downtime or other operationalimpacts. Delivers finished projects as designed on-time and on-budgetwith no safety or environmental issues. Provides instruction tomaintenance technicians in trouble shooting equipment. Create drawings &specifications for part fabrication if not commercially available.Prepare a parts replacement list for ordering parts or restocking ofinventory. Assist in ordering parts, materials and services within SAPsystem. Define methods to perform preventive maintenance on machines.Specify method to make various replacement parts, weld, solder, fitpipe, and fabricate sheet metal guards Analyze machine problems by usingtroubleshooting techniques, repair manuals, drawings or manufacturers\'specifications to determine logical approach to correct the problem andaddressing root cause.
