Job Responsibilities:
The Managing Director plays a crucial leadership role responsible to steer and execute regional strategic planning initiatives, enhance robust regional governance frameworks, plan and manage global projects and support regional project of Corporate Center (CC) functions and Business Units
Lead and enhance the regional platform strategy by liaising with all the Asia branches and CCs in the region
Oversee the management of Safety & Soundness on regulations, internal controls (risk, Compliance & Audit), financials and liquidity management for the branches
Develop and implement robust regional governance framework
Provide oversight and manage branch network strategic plans
Drive MUFG’s intra group collaboration, knowledge sharing and alignment of MUFG Group strategies
Promote MUFG group level projects and initiatives
Job Requirements:
Degree qualified
At least 15 years of working experience in Japanese commercial banking sector, corporate governance and strategic planning
Possess good communication skills, analytical ability and logical thinking
Proficient in both written and spoken Japanese to effectively communicate with Japanese stakeholders and senior management in Tokyo Head Office
Knowledge in regulatory requirements from JFSA (Japanese Financial Services Agency) would be advantageous.
