The AR team’s mission is to bring the digital and physical worlds together while allowing you to be present. Within AR, the Smartglasses team just recently launched their second generation smartglasses Rayban meta which allows you to capture, listen and share while living in the moment. This Software Engineering Manager role will drive the software for the next-generation of Smartglasses which will radically transform the way people work, play and connect. As a hands-on leader, you’ll help the team fulfill technical, operational, and business requirements. You will guide teams to build a long term durable architecture to enable delivery of scalable software products. The ideal candidate will help their teams solve complex technical challenges while delivering a great product experience and be a great cross-functional player with all other hardware and software teams working on the product.

　　Work with cross-functional teams across hardware and software to deliver a delightful product experience

　　Set ambitious yet attainable goals, and motivate the team to achieve them

　　Drive efficient and effective cross functional collaboration with the broader teams

　　Plan and coordinate major initiatives such as phased releases of the team’s software that align with product roadmaps and organizational priorities

　　Influence the engineering culture of the team and advocate for higher product quality and engineering efficiency

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　5+ years experience working on system software products or Java based Android internals

　　Effective communication skills

　　5+ years of experience managing software development teams

　　2+ years of experience managing engineering managers

　　Proven track record of building and supporting cross-functional teams

　　Experience supporting, coaching, mentoring, and developing engineers

　　Knowledge of growing teams and organizations

　　Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a large organization

　　BS / MS in Computer Science (In lieu of degree, relevant work experience)

　　Systems background (experience with OS, Android and hardware is a bonus). Experience in technically leading and/or managing teams delivering Operating Systems

　　Great XFN player that can influence well outside the team/org

　　Track record of managing other managers and growing senior leaders/engineers

　　Experience shipping consumer electronics through their entire lifecycle

　　$213,000/year to $293,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
