We are looking for an outstanding entrepreneurial character to lead the Linux Product Management team within Business Critical Linux, and help innovate, drive and execute solutions, products, and initiatives across the product portfolio.

　　We are seeking a:

　　Manager for Product Management Team

　　This is a dynamic and strategic cross-functional role within the Products and Partners team for SUSE's Business-Critical Linux business unit. It requires a strong mix of market, technology and business knowledge. Reporting into the Head of Products and Partners, the manager will work closely with the engineering leadership, marketing, and partner alliances teams.

　　Responsibilities:

　　In this role, you willServe as strong advocate for customers in order to build complete solution and service offerings.Work closely with engineering, partner management, alliances, sales, marketing and business development teams to align product functionality and roadmaps.Relate to geeks as well as suits. Being comfortable with both techies and business executives, you will be able to build rapport and communicate effectively and at the right level with either group.Have the right blend of diplomacy and decisiveness to constantly balance constraints and resources, as well as juggle priorities and tasks.Opportunity for global travel to engage with partners and colleagues.Support your team in managing their respective products and solutions.Required Skills:3+ years of People Management experienceStrong Product Management experience involving actual ownership of products and key solution components (5+ years)Masters degree or equivalent experience.Knowledge of emerging technologies such as software-defined everythingFamiliarity with Linux and Enterprise Linux productsHigh degree of leadership skillsHighly skilled communicator, excellent EnglishProven ability to successfully work in an environment of cultural diversityIntimately familiar with how open source communities work, and how to get things done within the communityTheoretical and practical experience about the challenges at the border between open source and proprietary software- and hardware-worldSolid technical expertise in Linux and operating systems, as well as computer hardware.
