  Job Summary

  The Manager of Leadership Development leads and supports the creation, evaluation, effectiveness, and sustainability of organization wide leadership development programs increasing leaders’ capabilities, business performance, and associate experience.

  Job Responsibilities

  ● Develops and implements programs that support objectives in the areas of leadership development, Associate orientation, leader onboarding, leadership competency building and other processes/programs that support the growth and development of BluePearl Associates and leaders.

  ● Supports the strategic planning of and is responsible for the execution for development programs in current state, future state, and beyond.

  ● Sets clear objectives and measures, monitors progress and results, and designs feedback loops into all programs.

  ● Manages the progress of programs from conception through implementation, leading, mentoring, and coaching as necessary.

  ● Coordinates with Director and other key stakeholders to identify, analyze, measure, and evaluate the effectiveness of projects and programs, when applicable.

  ● Collaborates with organization and field leaders at all levels to ensure relevancy of development programs to current organizational priorities.

  ● Partners with subject matter experts within the organization for creation of functional skill-based leadership content.

  ● Leads Leadership Development team to support the Talent & Development function, greater organization, and influence beyond business unit.

  ● Active participant of the Talent & Development manager team to create cohesive, talent, learning and development strategies for the organization.

  ● Partners and supports Mars Veterinary Health (MVH) programs and initiatives, leading the implementation and ongoing execution at the business unit level.

  ● Coordinate and makes recommendations for BluePearl Associate participation within Mars Leadership Programs.

  ● Maintains key vendor relations and contacts.

  ● Partners with outside consultants and negotiates cost-effective programs as required.

  ● Creates leadership development content or proposes vendor content to meet the learning objective.

  ● Facilitates meetings and training in person and virtually.

  ● Responsible for key programs, including but not limited to, BluePearl 101 (leader onboarding), Core BluePearl (high-potential program), Hospital Leadership Development Cohorts, and Elevate.

  ● Participates in company-wide leadership events. ● Other job duties as assigned.

  Education and Experience

  ● Bachelor's degree in human resources, psychology, business, or related field required.

  ● 5+ years’ relevant experience required.

  Qualifications

  ● Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.

  ● Works under veterinarian supervision.

  ● Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. ● Environment where pets are present.

  ● Excellent interpersonal, organizational, prioritization of work, and problem-solving skills.

  ● Requires in-depth skills and knowledge of the specialized concepts, practices, and procedures in the area of specialization.

  ● Utilizes in-depth knowledge of the specialization as well as business needs to recommend appropriate action.

  Working Conditions

  ● Ability to stand or sit at a computer station for long periods of time.

  ● The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.

  ● Environment where pets are present.

  ● The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.   ● Travel required (30%).
