  The Position

  This position is responsible for leading the IT Infrastructure team as part of the Global IT Operations Production Infrastructure (GITO PI) organization in the delivery of highly available, customer focused, and cost-effective infrastructure and operations. The area's focus is primarily for Product Supply manufacturing sites in the Americas region (North and South Americas) and major incident response globally during Americas time zone. The area is organized and works according to Agile, and is focused on global Manufacturing Infrastructure Management, Manufacturing Security Service Management, and IT Vendor Management.

  This position will provide leadership to the Americas Region's site infrastructure managers. In addition, they will work closely with Product Owners and GITO PI Managers to establish standards, improve processes, provide strategic input, and share best practices. This position is based in Clayton, NC . Flexible work option available. Relocation assistance available.

  Relationships

  This position reports to the Senior Manager.

  This position is closely working as part of GITO PI (Global IT Operations Production Infrastructure within Global IT) and interacts with the GITO PI Product Teams to support the development of the global strategies, align services and service levels and management for all NN entities in the Americas region.

  Essential Functions

  Serve as a valued advisor to stakeholders for developing and supporting solutions that are aligned with Global IT Operations Production Infrastructure (GITO PI) business strategies

  Promote the strategic direction of the global GITO PI organization

  Collaborate globally in Novo Nordisk worldwide IT advisory groups in Production Infrastructure and Manufacturing sites in the Americas to ensure involvement and influence over the decision making and strategic planning process

  Navigate a complex stakeholder network, including GITO PI, Global Security, and Product Supply Organizations to ensure good stakeholder management

  Lead and develop employees in both technical and leadership competencies

  Responsible for implementation of people related initiatives (e.g. on wellbeing or competency development)

  Communicate, model, and safeguard the SAFe and Agile methodology and principles through training, coaching, and mentoring team with Agile mindset

  Participate in team and ART events to enable qualified mindset- and career coaching of employees

  Build a learning culture by leading a transformation through personal advocacy, engagement and leadership

  Ensure and support that the local teams are well integrated in the GITO PI agile delivery organization

  In collaboration with product owners, ensure evaluation of emerging technologies and business potential or impact (including prototyping) in planning, architecture and optimization to meet business goals and objectives

  In alignment with Production areas, develop and execute a regional IT operation strategic plan including resource planning, global process adherence, and further standardization of operations

  Ensure ITIL Methodologies are implemented and reviewed periodically to ensure good IT Operations within Incident, Change, Problem, and Asset Management

  Build a LEAN culture and mindset for process improvement and systematic problem solving (SPS)

  Take an active role of vendor selections, vendor resource onboarding, performance assessment against KPIs/SLAs), and identifies areas for improvement

  Ensure financial planning and compliance with budget timelines and policies

  Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties

  Other accountabilities, as assigned

  Physical Requirements

  Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case by case basis based on the role).

  Development of People

  Ensure that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process.

  Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility.

  Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way.

  Qualifications

  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other relevant field from an accredited university required

  Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in Client Services, IT Infrastructure, and IT Security required

  Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience required

  Experience with infrastructure planning and deployment required

  Experience with Vendor negotiations and management skills required

  Experienced in developing and managing Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) required

  Experience in project management, business analysis and systems development life cycle required

  Experience with Global stakeholder management experience required

  Experience working closely with IT teams in other countries required

  Proven track record of strong people management skills, including developing employees required

  Track record of successful execution of IT projects of different levels of complexity with a variety of team structures preferred

  Experience with FDA 24 CFR Part II Compliance for IT Systems, IT Infrastructure including data centers preferred

  Experience with of the Agile SAFe/Agile methodology/principles and fostering the Agile mindset, preferred
