  As the Manager, Games Event Management, you will be responsible for partnering with the Director, Games Event management and VP, Production Operations. You will complete and assist with any task related to Olympic Games and be highly knowledgeable in the Hoteling Industry which includes the NBC Olympic accommodation plan for the upcoming Olympic Summer Games in Paris and Winter Games in Milan Cortina.

  Responsibilities:

  Assume a key role in organizing accommodation plans for the 1,500+ NBCU employees traveling to the Olympic host-city

  Manage rooming lists, hotel blocks, and additional system data within NBC’s CRM system (SCORE)

  Liaise directly with hotels to negotiate contracts and communicate business needs

  Coordinate with internal NBC Departments to ensure onsite needs are met

  Assist with organizing the NBC Olympics accommodation budget and preform regular audits of system data to ensure accuracy

  Support air travel data management including arrivals and departures projects.

  Maintain relations with air vendors and partner airlines

  Help with the recruitment, training, and management of Games-time staff at the host-city Logistics Office

  Perform additional operational tasks as needed by the Department

  Basic Requirements:

  Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Travel and Tourism or equivalent years of experience

  Minimum four (4) years' of project management experience, preferably in travel and sports, and/or special events

  Previous hotel or accommodations experience

  Thorough knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

  Attention to detail

  Travel required including being on-site for two months at the Olympic Games

  Experience collaborating across an organization and working with diverse personalities and levels an asset

  Desired Characteristics:

  Minimum five (5) years’ experience managing large scale events preferred

  Previous international experience

  Ability to work in a high-pressure environment

  Excellent communication skills and organization

  Ability to problem solve and take initiative

  Strong comfort level with navigating systems

  Flexibility to take on additional projects

  Additional Requirements:

  Must be 18 years or older

  Must be willing to work long hours and on weekends and to travel domestically and internationally

  Willingness to travel to Paris for approximately eight weeks and work overtime

  Must be “on call” 24 hours a day / 7 days a week during designated Games-time period

  Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. During the lead up and throughout Games Time, there is the expectation of daily work on-site.
