The NBCU Local Division consists of 43 local NBC and TLMD stations and 6 Regional Sports Networks.
Reporting to the Sr. Director of FP&A, this key role on the NBCU Local Headquarters Finance team will help prepare the consolidated financial results, variance analysis, summarize Operational insights & reporting to Station & News leadership. The role will have the ability to gain an in-depth view and understanding of the Local Station business as well as own HQ Budgets such as Marketing, Research, Programming and Arthouse/other budgets. The ownership of the HQ budgets will allow this role to partner directly key members of the Local Station Management team such as the NBCU Local CMO & EVP of Acquired Programming and the VP of Operations for Arthouse (an in-house creative studio).
Responsibilities
Support Sr. Director, FP&A in consolidating financial results, operational insights and providing variance explanations for NBCU’s Corporate finance team in preparation of pacing and quarter closes.
Support Sr. Director, FP&A in financial summaries for NBCU Local Management & News Finance HQ.
Own HQ Budgets such as Marketing, Research, Programming, Arthouse and other as needed. Understand deal terms and market nuances. Complete budgeting, pacing, forecasting & close related responsibilities.
Provide financial modeling and analysis and be well-versed in the creation of dynamic financial models. Must be analytical and business minded. Must be able to dig into the details to analyze and understand causes of budget/actual variances.
Foster collaboration and streamline processes across the Station teams to gather information and insights for monthly pacing, estimates & budget cycles.
Ensure all financial statements are prepared and presented in a timely manner, including income statements, balance sheets, cash-flow statements, and variance analyses.
Work closely with the Corporate Controllership team to maintain and enhance a strong controllership environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, related field, or equivalent work experience
4 years of experience in accounting and/or Finance related fields
Must be willing to work in New York, NY
