The Professional Development Program (PDP) of the University at Albany's Rockefeller College is seeking a service-minded individual who
is committed to performing high-quality work to fill a manager position within PDP's Finance & Project Support unit in Albany, NY.
Description of Duties:
This position manages all financial and administrative support functions within a high performing continuing professional education program
with a multi-million-dollar annual portfolio of contracts and grants serving federal, state, and local sponsors in the public sector. This position serves as the primary financial liaison with sponsors, Research Foundation (RF) and University offices, outside vendors, and PDP internal units. This management position oversees all financial activity within the Professional Development Program. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Develops, revises, and updates project budgets and provides guidance and support in the development of new contracts and grant applications.
Oversees all financial activities, including but not limited to purchasing, travel reimbursement, and vendor and consulting agreements.
Manages job vacancy/search functions, new hire processing, and staff charging.
Serves as primary financial liaison with campus RF and UA officials and sponsors and oversees in-house financial and staff databases.
Supervises professional and support staff.
Oversees the PDP training and event reservation system and training rooms and oversees copy center functioning.
As a member of PD P's Management Team, leads and contributes to organizational initiatives as needed.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education (USDOE) or an internationally recognized accrediting organization and four years' experience developing funding proposals, budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses OR a bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by a USDOE or internationally recognized accrediting organization and six years' experience developing funding proposals, budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
Two to three years' experience as a project leader and/or supervisor.
Demonstrated skills using Microsoft Office products, particularly MS Excel.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Strong problem-solving skills and organizational skills with strict attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a continuing adult education or other educational or non-profit environment.
Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
Knowledge of Research Foundation and SUNY policies and procedures.
Experience working with databases.
Additional Information:
Salary Range: $101,000 - 108,000 (annual)
