　　The Role

　　Our team is seeking a highly motivated, collaborative, and technically experienced Engineering Manager with the ability to drive change and make things happen. You will manage an engineering team working on sophisticated systems responsible for protecting the social channels of some of the largest brands in the world, as well as monitoring the mobile and web presence of many of those same brands.

　　Your day-to-day

　　Lead and mentor an experienced team of software developers by providing leadership, guidance and enabling the team to deliver to their full potential.

　　Align the skill and capability of the team with the requirements of the product roadmap.

　　Lead change in seeking out continuous improvements and champion the adoption of best practices in our SDLC.

　　Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, ownership, innovation, trust, and the continuous drive toward excellence to promote teams to be empowered to produce high quality results on schedule.

　　Accountable for maintaining a high standard of product quality and code health.

　　Develop, maintain, and publish project KPI’s that track project quality, delivery, and predictability.

　　Establish regular communication with the team and key stakeholders to provide project status updates.

　　Identify risks, gaps or blind spots in your teams’ resources, skills, tooling, supporting information systems and action to close those gaps.

　　What you bring to the team

　　Proven experience of directly leading software development teams

　　Extensive previous hands-on software development experience, preferably with Ruby on Rails

　　Thorough understanding of Relational Databases (RDBMS) and SQL

　　Previous experience with JavaScript frameworks highly beneficial

　　A track record for delivering high quality, high performance, and scalable SAAS products.

　　Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on time, on quality and on budget.

　　Solid understanding of SDLC as well as expert knowledge of both agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them as needed.

　　Experience with Project Management tools such as Jira, VersionOne or equivalent

　　Sufficient technical background to provide highly credible leadership to technical teams, and to objectively evaluate complex project issues and risks.

　　Excellent communication & organizational skills.

　　Proven ability to facilitate project meetings and follow-ups.
