  Hitachi Energy is seeking for a Director Operations - North America for its High Voltage Products business, located in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania location. You will be responsible for leading the Operations, Continuous Improvement, and Business Processes function, with full accountability of running the day-to-day operation to overachieve customer expectations through lean, faultless operational execution (S>>Q>D>I>C), in an extended value chain and at the lowest total cost. Establish and maintain an Operational Excellence Culture within local Hitachi Energy, by assuring and controlling operating systems, process compliance, applying tools and collaboration as a team to exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable execution. In charge of developing & maintaining the Hitachi Energy Lean Lighthouse Maturity Model in the local units. All aspects managed in line with Hitachi Energy Group/Business Unit guidance.

  Your responsibilities

  Safety & Integrity: Responsible to implement and sponsor Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and all other business compliance standards and regulations across all Operations functions.Accountable to ensure a safe work environment and continuous improvement in HSE processes and integrity performance.People Leadership & Development: Accountable that all Operations and Continuous Improvement functions are properly organized, staffed, and directed.Accountable to build an effective, capable, and high-performing organization.Responsible to develop talent, review organizational effectiveness, performing competence assessments and continuous skill-upgrades.Strategy: Based on the overall Business Unit and Corporate strategy, responsible to develop and derive and continuously improve a customer-focused operations strategy based on Strategy deployment, through both a planning and execution cycle.Accountable for its relentless execution.End-To-End Operation: Accountable for a sustainable and effective E2E value-chain across the Hub, from Customer to Supplier and from Order to Delivery (Products, Projects & Service).Accountable for the effective deployment of the respective Material Planning and Procurement strategies, and Logistics strategy for healthy inventory levels.Responsible for project execution from order to service.Responsible to establish an effective S&OP process and accountable for its results, aligned with Global strategies.Management of Operations / Project-Management: Owns and is accountable to deliver RELEX KPIs in line with Hitachi Energy expectations.Accountable to deliver S>>Q>D>I>P: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and, Productivity and Costs.As applicable: deploys and manages Integrated Project Management system for Project Execution. Responsible for on-time/on-margin project execution and to deliver project EBIT and cash.Continuous improvement & Customer Satisfaction: Responsible to champion a culture of Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement across the organization.Accountable for the development and continuous improvement of business processes and procedures, and of the overall customer satisfaction.Engineering and Manufacturing processes: Responsible to ensure master data excellence.Responsible to deploy BU manufacturing technology and engineering process standards.Responsible to establish governance mechanisms to drive and ensure compliance. Adjust Engineering and Manufacturing resources with workload - optimize use of Global Operating centers - as applicable.Budget and performance management: Accountable to deliver COGS savings and all other Financial performance KPIs.Accountable to define and deliver the annual budgets for CapEx and OpEx expenses.

  Your background

  Basic Qualifications:

  Bachelor's Degree in engineering or business and Fifteen (15) plus years of operations and/or quality experience.Must have led an operations or quality organization

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Requires broad knowledge of diverse operations and strong managerial skills to effectively direct the organization and resolve complex problems.Requires exceptional communication skills and ability to influence decisions of senior managers and customers.

  Position is based on site at our Mt. Pleasant facility.

  Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
