Position Summary
In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of COE Processes and related escalations and communications. This leader will need to possess a strong working knowledge of specialty pharmacy workflow and be able to influence others and lead COE strategy. The non-clinical advisor will collaborate with various departments to analyze data, and lead data driven initiatives to support the COE teams. They will be responsible for leading COE initiatives to improve operational efficiency and build capabilities to drive for results. You must possess a clear vision on where the COE Ops support team and specialty is heading and build tangible products and services that help achieve our objectives. They will be responsible for supporting all areas of Specialty Operations and they will drive initiatives that aim to maintain performance standards and ensure high-quality services to our clients and patients.
This position will interface with all areas of Specialty, inclusive of multiple levels of leadership and must possess a deep understanding of the business coupled with the ability to influence and impact others. This position is critical for the execution of COE strategy to achieve patient experience, quality and financial goals .
Required Qualifications
5-8 years of experience with specialty operations, pharmacy business, specialty back-end operations, or benefits verification required
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact and influence at all levels of the organization
Strong presentation skills; good ability to leverage MS PowerPoint
Strong ability to communicate systems and procedural changes to end users through excellent written and oral communications.
Good understanding of metrics, measurement of activities, productive work, rates etc. to support calculation and/or validating value/savings, building business cases and business models for value
Comprehensive knowledge of the practices, procedures and principles of therapy specific information
Strong drug classification background and general drug knowledge
Knowledge of plan attributes relating to conflicts on member plans.
Preferred Qualifications
8-10 years of experience with specialty operations, pharmacy business, specialty back-end operations, or benefits verification preferred.
Organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills are essential. Must be able to prioritize workload, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and problem-solve. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and outstanding customer service skills are necessary.
Ability to identify, define and communicate issues.
Extensive knowledge of Specialty Pharmacy processes and systems.
Good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to produce results by working within established deadlines, and understanding next steps
Ability to effectively handle pressures and demands of deadlines and competing priorities
Ability to interact with internal business partners at a senior and management level to clarify requirements and business needs for changes and enhancements.
Excellent proven interpersonal skills with the ability to teach and motivate others
EducationBachelors Degree or equivalent experience required
Masters in business management or related fields is preferred
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$54,300.00 - $119,300.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
