PACCAR India is offering a fantastic fulltime opportunity to join the accounting team as an Manager OR Assistant Controller.
This position will hold wide responsibility for the accounting operations in India, ensuring compliance to PACCAR global procedures and accounting practices and support the next phase of growth at PACCAR India.
Key responsibilities:
Lead a team of accountants and finance specialists to ensure compliance on statutory and legal requirements.
Act as the key interface and communicate with external auditors in India on annual statutory, financial and tax audits.
Responsible for annual overhead budget and play a lead role in presenting budget to senior management for review and approval.
Provide an expert review of department expenditures and analyze actual to budget variance.
Ensure India office operations are in compliance with PACCAR procedures and policies and ensure compliance to Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
Lead the team to participate in Internal Control reviews, SOX testing and various special projects and ad hoc reports as might be required.
Provide oversight to day-to-day accounting activities of the India operations.
Liaison with the PACCAR Corporate controllers and accounting team to align operational methods and accounting principle of PACCAR global.
Manage expatriate accounting and support to resolve any reporting issues.
Responsible for compliance of the foreign corporate income tax and indirect taxes.
Oversee local tax such as GST, internal audit, and statutory reporting requirements.
Support emerging market business initiatives by developing/validating financial modeling and projections.
Supervise, develop, and motivate a team of accountants and finance specialists.
Knowledge & Skills REQUIRED:
Education Requirements:
Bachelor of Accounting
Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred
Technical / Professional Experience Requirements:
8-10 years of progressive accounting and supervisory experience.
Experience working with Big 4 and multinational publicly traded company preferred.
Total Years of Experience Required: 8+ years relevant work experience.
