Madera Irrigation District Job AnnouncementMaintenance Worker ITemporary Full-Time**Salary Range: $36,130 - $63,710FLSA: Non-Exempt

　　Overview of Position: Under direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, performs a wide variety of unskilled work related within the field of construction and maintenance activities of an irrigation delivery system. Incumbents may perform beginning level under close or direct supervision, maintaining to work in a learning capacity, within narrowly established guidelines and parameters.

　　Some Essential Duties include: **

　　Build pipelines, cement work, installing box, gatesLearn to operate a variety of hand tools, gas powered tools, concrete cutting tools, jackhammer, and light and medium equipment safelyOperates equipment such as mowers, light trucks, tractors, sprayers, pickups, and similar light automotive equipmentExpose underground utilitiesMows canal, clears grass and weeds to ensure proper water flowCleans debris from pipelines and canalsPerforms repairs of fences, rights-of-ways and pipesPerforms related duties as neededQualifications : Education - Graduation from high school

　　Experience - One year of successful experience in general construction. Knowledge of crops and irrigation practices desired.

　　Licenses, Registration, Accreditation: Possession of a valid California Class C Driver's License will be required at the time of appointment. Possession and proof of a driving record free of multiple or serious traffic violations or accidents for two (2) consecutive years.
