　　What you'll do: Supervise and perform a variety of general maintenance duties to maintain the overall care and upkeep of one of our apartment communities. 　　Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :

　　Performs general building maintenance at the direction of the Team Leader, Property Manager, management or customer. Includes the inspection and performance of maintenance of common areas, building exteriors, resident suites, roof, supply closets, mechanical rooms, vacant apartments and any other building areas that need maintained.

　　Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

　　Snow removal at assigned properties. Includes monitoring vendors.

　　Maintaining certification to manage pools in accordance with safe operating practices.

　　Drive to assigned properties and various locations.

　　Comply with Fair Housing and applicable Tax Credit laws.

　　What it takes to join our team:

　　Requires prompt and professional customer service to our customers.

　　Must have 1 year of experience directly working with customers.

　　Must have a valid Iowa Driver's license and personal auto liability insurance.

　　Must be willing to provide weekend and after-hour building coverage, on an on-call basis as assigned.

　　Prefer past management experience.

　　The right candidate will have good mechanical skills and work well independently.
