Great Job Opportunity!!

　　The Town of South Hill currently has a job opening for a Maintenance Operator within the Streets Maintenance Department. Job duties include but are not limited to: general maintenance and construction, waste collection, operation of heavy equipment, installation/repair of water and sewer lines, snow and ice removal,direct traffic and guide trucks or equipment in congested areas; serve as flagger; clean equipment and trucks every day after completion of tasks;other duties as assigned. Must be willing to work overtime and respond to emergency call back when situations arise.

　　A CDL license is required within one year of employment. Additional certifications within one year of hire include: VDOT Flagger Certification and Pesticide License. Prior experience in infrastructure construction and heavy equipment operations is preferred. The Town provides incentives for some certifications as well as educational development opportunities.
