Reporting to the Mechanical Group Lead inMaintenance, the successful candidate will perform scheduled andunscheduled mechanical updates and repairs on our fastener manufacturingequipment, and suggest improvements that will increase productivity.Responsibilities Perform scheduled maintenance on heat treat equipment.Provide emergency and/or unscheduled maintenance as required. Assistwith set up of equipment for scheduled production runs. Assist withmachine rebuilds, installations and moves Fabricate machine repair,tooling parts, safety guards and other parts as requested. Performadditional mechanical services as requested including mechanical,pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packing and otherproduction equipment. Read and interpret equipment manuals and workorders to perform required maintenance and service. Comply with OSHASafety and Health standards and requirements. Identify and implementimprovements to existing policies and procedures. Perform other dutiesas assigned or needed. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent.2+ years mechanical maintenance experience including: Demonstrateunderstanding of electrical systems Industrial mechanicaltroubleshooting and repair Basic welding and cutting procedures(optional) Understanding of hydraulics Set up and operation of generalmachine maintenance shop equipment and tools Correct use of machinistmeasurement tools Demonstrated ability to read and interpret schematicdiagrams. Proven ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipmentmechanically. Capable of overcoming obstacles and completing assignmentsin a timely manner. Strong working knowledge of industrial controls andinstrumentation preferred. PC skills including experience with MS OfficeSuite preferred. Positive attitude, good judgment and excellent timemanagement skills. Strong sense of responsibility and ownership. Abilityto walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to finger,handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms,climb or balance; and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Goodclose vision and depth perception skills. Ability to work 12-hr shiftIndustrial forklift certification a plus.
