Precipart, located in Farmingdale, New York, is looking for a Machinist with manual machining experience. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating manual machines to fabricate precision, custom parts used in the medical device and aerospace industry. As a Machinist, you will use inspection tools to ensure dimensions of finished components are accurate. This is a great opportunity to either a skilled machinist or a mechanically inclined person who wants to learn a skilled trade and pursue a Machinist career path.

　　Responsibilities

　　Set up and operate machines to fabricate a high volume of parts

　　Review blueprints to accurately fabricate parts to the specified dimensions

　　Inspect parts to ensure quality standards are met

　　Manufacture parts to meet production deadlines

　　Requirements

　　3+ years relevant work experience. In lieu of experience, will consider entry level candidates who demonstrate interest and aptitude to learn the Machinist trade with preference give to those with a relevant technical Associate degree or Machining certificate to start at an entry level.

　　High school or equivalent (Preferred)

　　Experience operating lathe, milling, grinding and / or gear cutting manual machines

　　Must be mechanically inclined

　　Experience with hand/power tools a plus

　　Excellent attention to detail

　　Good communication skills

　　Good mathematical ability

　　Able to work in a fast paced environment

　　Pay Range: $19.00 to $30.00 an hour
