　　JOB SUMMARY:

　　To grind a wide variety of production aircraft parts using CNC machinery. May be required to work with higher-grade Machinists while in training.

　　JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

　　Setup, adjust and operate CNC grinding machines to perform a wide variety of difficult close tolerance internal and/or external single and multiple grinding operations according to general operation methods.

　　Works from blueprints, shop routers, oral and written instructions to achieve high degree surface finish and tolerance requirements for grinding parts.

　　Mount and balance grinding wheel.

　　o Dress grinding wheel manually and automatically.

　　Setup and adjust horizontal feeds, speed of part rotation, wheel speed and table travel stops.o Selects drive dogs, collets and chucks.

　　o Mounts parts to proper index as required. Adjusts lubricating coolant flow.

　　Responsible only for own work.

　　Performs other related duties as required.

　　Qualifications

　　EDUCATION:

　　Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze-level WorkKeys certification AND a vocational certificate / diploma related to CNC machining.

　　EXPERIENCE:

　　No experience required but must possess the vocational certificate/diploma outlined in education.

　　WORKING CONDITIONS:

　　Typical machine shop working conditions with occasional exposure to cutting oils and grindings.

　　This role is eligible for up to a $15,000 (pre-tax) sign-on bonus based on level of experience. Terms & conditions apply. The Company reserves the right to amend or suspend this program at any time.
