Shift: - 2nd Shift - 3pm to 11pm, Monday - Friday - 3rd shift- 11 pm to 7 am, Monday - Friday Job Purpose Produces product,conducts assemblies, inspects and packages parts that conform to thedefined quality standards and meets the required production scheduleDuties and Responsibilities - Reviews all product informationcontained in the Work Instructions before running the press or specifictask required - Must be at assigned workstation on time and prepared -Review jobs performance and details with previous shift Operator -Conducts assignments under supervision of the Shift supervisor orProduct Specialist. - Must be able to keeps records and fill ourrequired paperwork for each job. (Examples Production Sheet, scrapsheets, etc.) - Prior to attending machine, be sure that all components,supplies and fixtures needed are at the press. (Per Work Instructions) -Notifies Shift Supervisor or Clean Room Tech and Quality Inspector ofrejects and quality defects. - Performs secondary operations at thepress such as degating, trimming operations to remove flash, or otherminor finishing operations to meet specifications detailed in the WorkInstructions. - Package parts per instructions in Work Instructions. -Segregate parts required by Q.C. as noted in Work Instructions. - NotifyShift Supervisor or Process Tech of any changes occurring to process,molded part or scrap rate. Press Operators should NOT make any changesto machine or molds. - Maintains a clean and organized work area.Assists in general housekeeping duties as directed by Shift Supervisoror Clean Room Tech. - During press down time when not assigned to adifferent press, perform tasks such as making boxes, put completed boxeson skids, clean and organize production area, etc. - Monitors materiallevel in hoppers and informs Material Handler when low on material. -Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results asneeded and is committed to continuous improvement in all jobfunctions. - Other duties as assigned Skills / Qualifications - HighSchool Degree or equivalent preferred. - Manufacturing experiencepreferred. Knowledge, Skills and Ability: - Basic knowledge of moldsand injection molding. - Ability to read, follow instructions, skills injudgment, ability to concentrate and simple math. - Must have goodcommunication skills - Must have legible writing - Must be able toaccurately fill out paperwork as required - Must be able to load andunload (Inserts, Metal Hand Load Inserts) or plastic parts from aninjection molding press in a manner to minimize any potential damage. -Understands quality inspection requirements of each part and makesaccurate judgment of acceptable parts. Physical Requirements - Mustbe able to lift up to 50 lbs. - Must have good vision - Must have manualdexterity - Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time -Repetitive motions are required - Must be able to move 1100 lb. gaylordswith a pallet jack - Requires frequent bending, squatting, and twistingmotions - Must be able to climb stepladders - Must be able to climb upand down stairs Other Special Requirements - Must be available forovertime as needed - Environment: Noise level is uncontrolled (Earplugs are provided.) - Perform job duties in accordance to ISO13485/9001 including ISO audits Safety Responsibilities - Ensurethat all safety procedures are followed - Ensure that all equipmentsafeties are not altered or defeated.
