Reference #: 5001015037700Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team and is currently recruiting for a Machine Cleaner to work from our manufacturing facility located in Wilkes-Barre, PA on Third Shift. This position works Monday - Friday from 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM.As a Machine Cleaner, this candidate will be responsible to use a vacuum, compressed air, high pressure rinse, cleaning chemicals, hand cleaning, squeegees, and motorized sweepers to maintain all equipment as well as office areas, locker rooms, and break rooms. Mild to moderate chemicals and spray cleaners are used daily. In addition, air blasting packing machines, conveyors and floors and using a cloth to wipe down equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipates in all sanitation activities in order to maintain, clean, and safeguard equipment and facilities used for the processing and packaging of food products.Uses vacuums, compressed air, high pressure rinse, cleaning chemicals, hand cleaning, squeegees, and motorized sweepers to maintain all equipment as well as office areas, locker rooms, and break rooms.Returns all tables, mats, hoses, and cleaning equipment to proper position.Must be trained on Global Harmonized System for different chemicals used during daily cleaning.Cleans all packaging/ processing equipment and machines.Removes all waste to proper hopper.Requires working cooperatively and proactively in a cross-functional team with a diverse group of people and Supervisors.Readily takes instruction from the Supervisor and Leadperson and is eager to improve work activities and knowledge base.Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position.This position has direct impact on food safety at Utz Quality Foods. The next most senior members of the department is trained and qualified to substitute for absences and vacations.
