Reference #: 2020837Under the supervision of the Life Safety & Access Control Manager, the Locksmith is responsible for the install, repair, and replacement of a variety of both mechanical and electrical door operating/locking hardware, including locks, keys, panic hardware, and door closers, throughout the 6.5 million square feet of campus space. Will need to promptly respond to daily service requests, student housing requests, and urgent client requests while interacting and communicating with customers in a professional manner.
Typical hours for this position are Monday thru Friday from 7am to 3pm with the willingness to work overtime, evenings/weekends, and be available for call-out work.

QUALIFICATIONSHigh School diploma or equivalentGraduation from locksmithing trade school and/or apprenticeship programFour years combined experience as an apprentice and journeyman locksmithManufacturers' courses on, or training in, a variety of mechanical and electrical locking systemsExperience with installation and maintenance of access control systems a plusExperience in designing, setting up, and administering master key systems a plusDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, goals, and objectives.
