Role Overview: The Locksmith position at Amentum's Alice Springs Office reports to the Maintenance Supervisor, with day-to-day oversight by the Senior Maintenance Officer. This role focuses on residential locksmith duties, including installation, repair, maintenance, and emergency response for various residential lock systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Maintenance: Install, repair, change, and service residential lock systems (doors, gates, cabinets, windows, etc.) as required

Planning and Record Keeping: Plan tools, equipment, materials, and assistance needed for tasks. Maintain accurate records of locks, keys, users, pinning codes, and master key plans

Customer Service and Safety: Provide efficient solutions in emergency call-out situations. Manage physical keys professionally and ensure equipment operates safely

Qualifications:

Minimum Essential:

Certificate III in Locksmithing.

2+ years of experience as a trade qualified locksmith.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work independently and within a team.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable:

Additional training or experience in carpentry or electronics.

Tickets and Licenses:

Minimum Essential:

Current Driver’s License.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years' experience in the locksmith industry.Work Environment:

Tasks may include outdoor work in varying weather conditions typical of Alice Springs' climate (cold winters to hot summers).Pre-Employment Checks:
