SMX is seeking a Linux Information Assurance Administrator to support our customer with collecting IA artifacts in support of the Navy RMF process for Linux based systems in their hybrid on-premise and GovCloud data center. These artifacts include STIG checklists, ACAS scans and other various items supporting the assessment and authorization and continuous monitoring processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor NHDSM ticketing system
Complete STIG Checklists using scripting and automation
Attend collaboration meetings to address STIG/SCAP discrepancies
ACAS scanning an reports
Troubleshooting Unix server issues
Required Skills:
Clearance Required: Active Secret with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret
Bachelor's Degree in an IT discipline or an additional four (4) years of related experience can be substituted for a degree
DoD 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2) (Examples of minimum acceptable certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, G SEC, Security+ CE, SSCP)
Minimum 7 years of Linux System Administration experience
Experience in DoD Information Assurance/Cyber policy and procedures to include hardening of systems, implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and scanning
Experience implementing automated STIG checking through ACAS compliance scans
Experience with scripting
Experience with Ansible
Detail-oriented and able to work multiple assignments autonomously and in a team environment
Proficient with clear and concise verbal and written communication
Experience with Windows Server 2012 and higher
Knowledge of NIST guidelines
Must be able to interact with peers, management, and senior engineers in a constantly evolving environment to ensure a positive customer experience atmosphere in the workplace
Desired Skills:
Navy RMF process knowledge
Additional experience with Windows Administration is preferred
Experience with AWS Cloud is preferred
Experience with ACAS is preferred
