Overview
Reporting to the Chief Litigation Officer, theLegal Analystis an integral part of the Access Advance team and works closely with the legal and licensing teams. This position is responsible for providing litigation support, assisting in maintaining litigation software, contract management, patent support, letter writing support for the licensing team, and providing support to the licensing executives who are responsible for the management, execution, and maintenance of agreements throughout their life cycle, from execution to expiration. This position also includes support to others who are responsible for database management and record storage and retention.
Responsibilities
Support legal functions, including litigation, patent related record keeping and contract management
Partner with licensing to support the function of drafting and sending letters to prospective licensees either directly or through outside counsel
Provide backup support to others who manage and oversee contract lifecycles, including: (i) customizing drafts from template agreements (e.g., license agreements and non-disclosure agreements) and collecting execution copies, (ii) compiling, organizing, and storing signed agreements, (iii) monitoring, tracking, and docketing key contract milestones, and (iv) liaising with the relevant parties to update agreements as necessary
Provide backup support to others who manage records and document management functions.
Create, edit, revise, format and print a wide range of document types in word processing software, and convert documents from one application to another
Assist with management of hard copies (e.g., indexing, storage, and coordinating the mailing of hard copies of agreements
Compile document binders, create indexes, tables of contents, etc.
Support operations functions

Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
2+ years working in a law firm or a corporation supporting litigation or licensing functions
Experience in contract management, records management, information governance, document life cycle management in a professional services, financial services, or a compliance and regulatory environment
Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (including PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and related software products
Demonstrated attention to detail, particularly in preparing, managing, and organizing large sets of information and documents
Self-motivated
Must be willing to work out of an office in Boston, MA for a majority of working hours. (Note: The opportunity for remote work for a portion of the work week is available.)
Must be eligible to work in the United States
