JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 20205 JOB DETAILS: UW-Stout seeks a dynamic,innovative instructor to help raise the profile of the Spanish minor oncampus and reimagine the role of language study in a polytechniccontext. Applicants must be able to teach all levels of Spanish languageclasses, including Spanish for the professions in alignment withUW-Stout\'s undergraduate programs. Beyond foundational and appliedSpanish courses, the successful candidate will have the opportunity toteach existing upper-level content courses in film, culture, andliterature, or develop new courses in applied Spanish. The successfulcandidate will also oversee the Spanish minor and engage in curriculumassessment and revision, as well as collaborate with study abroadprogramming, other departments, student groups, and the local communityto promote the study of language. One vacancy will be filled either atthe rank of lecturer (non-tenure track instructional academic staff witha renewable annual contract) or assistant professor (tenure-trackfaculty), depending on qualifications. Teach undergraduate Spanish courses,and/or other courses to be determined based on student enrollment andthe candidate\'s qualifications. 2. Provide student academic advisementand conduct assessment of student learning. This includes contributingto academic program assessment, accreditation, and continuousimprovement processes, in collaboration with faculty and staff. 3.Coordinate with relevant departments and off-campus stakeholders toexpand recruitment and enrollment in the Applied Foreign Languages minorand Spanish minor. 4. Collaborate with the Office of InternationalEducation to align Spanish programming with study abroad opportunities.5. Develop and implement a plan for programmatic revisions to theSpanish minor to ensure its long-term sustainability, includingcurricular revisions. 6.
