The Learning and Development Specialist II - Sales will develop, lead, and manage the training and development programs for the enterprise-wide sales organization, including a robust and engaging onboarding program. This individual will partner with Sales, Marketing and Product Leadership in identifying training needs, and then design, develop, implement, and evaluate that training using industry standard instructional design methodologies. Training will be delivered both directly and through training partners. This position works autonomously while reporting directly to the Director of Enterprise Learning and Development with a dotted line to the Chief Strategy Officer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Design and develop internally created sales training content, and skill development programs, while leveraging strong adult learning and industry standard instructional design methodologies
· Design, develop and deliver The Empyrean Way to Win sales methodology
· Design, develop and facilitate an engaging onboarding process and training
· Facilitate engaging and participatory virtual classroom and in-person training for all sales associates
· Collaborate cross-functionally to assess training needs for sales associates and sales leaders; work with stakeholders to create, update and improve sales training initiatives
· Conduct training program evaluations; communicate key performance indicators and results to stakeholders; identify opportunities to continuously improve training content and delivery.
· Manage internally created curriculum, training schedules, and customized training plans
· Responsible for ensuring assigned projects meet established timelines.
· Responsible for routine and timely communication of the health of Sales Training projects (i.e., new developments, hurdles, Green – Yellow – Red project status as well as individual tasks) to the Director of Talent Development and the Chief Strategy Officer when needed
· Facilitates and delivers education programs using a wide range of platforms and mediums as requested and/or determined by a needs assessment.
· Independently manages curriculum projects and works with cross-departmental partners to ensure project training deliverables meet business needs.
· Participates in special projects as needed
· Demonstrates professional growth and development through self-leadership and continuing self-education and training.
· Operates and manages all department platforms and processes (Highspot, LMS, LXP)
· Acts as the back-up for other L&D team members on essential functions, facilitation of courses and duties
· Performs other duties, as assigned

· Knowledge and ability to use eLearning authoring tools and video tools (Storyline 360, Camtasia, SnagIt, etc.)

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor's degree or in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, equivalent years of experience in education, learning and development, or related field
· 10+ years of selling experience
· Min of 5 years of experience of training, facilitation, and instructional design
· Certified Instructional Technologist (CIT) credential from Mager Consortium or the ability to obtain said certification within 12 months of employment
· Strong project management experience preferred
· Certified Virtual Facilitator and Certified Virtual Designer credential preferred
