Full-time position at Cannon House the Assisted Living Facility to provide safe, affordable, and high-quality assisted living for retirees, seniors, and others in need of residential care who want to live as independently as possible.
No experience is necessary, but preferred
On-site training and development for all recent graduates
Physical requirements: bending and lifting
Need to have good customer service, communication, interpersonal skills, and maintain a high level of professionalism
First responsibilities will be getting resident charts and annual assessments up-to-date (charting). This will be the main focus but once caught up will be spread out more.
Responsibilities
Able to identify and categorize each patient's age-specific grouping of needs
Responsible for leading, collecting, and performing clinical quality measure for every patient at an average of 21 patients per day. Including immunizations, annual screenings, follow-up appointments, blood pressure checks, diabetic checks, and more.
Must be able to perform special procedures such as obtaining IV access, blood draws, and adult urinary catheterization. Candidate is required to administer IM, Sub Q, and intradermal injections, rectal, oral, and inhaled medications as order by the provider and/or standing orders.
Facilitate emergency referrals according to the utilization management guidelines
Coordinate transfer of acute patients when ordered by provider to the appropriate facility (e.g. emergency room)
Documentation of every patient interaction
Managing insulin injections
Charting
Managing glucose and blood pressure
Working with the CNAs to ensure that every is managed correctly with the residents, applied correctly, and there are not adverse reactions.
Partner with pharmacies to make sure medications are updated
Discharge planning to and from the hospitals
Additional responsibilities
Assist in the training of new nursing staff members
Respect culturally diverse backgrounds of Sea-Mar's patients and staff
Assure the supplies are well stocked and maintained
Ensure medication storages, maintenance, dispensation, and waste logs are maintained
And more.
Currently 63 residents but activity growing (max is 90 residents)
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Graduated from an accredited school with a BSN
WA RN license
IV Certification preferred
Previous ambulatory care and consultation experience preferred
Experience in long-term care/geriatrics
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required
BLS CPR needed within the first 0- days of hire and maintained throughout employment
