About Lead Product Manager - Uber Connect - Consumer Growth

  About the Role

  As a Consumer Growth Lead Product Manager for Uber Connect, you will help build Uber's fastest growing independent lines of business: "on-demand delivery" that provides consumers and businesses around the world with access to Uber's best in class logistics network. With our product, Uber enables consumers to use the Uber app to get their dry cleaning dropped up and their returns completed in store or sent via UPS. Uber enables businesses - from small businesses to large enterprises - to use the service to deliver everything from salads and groceries to iPhones and personal care items to their customers in as fast as 30 mins.

  As the Consumer Growth lead, you will be leading the overall strategy for our consumer offering enabling them to get easy access to a flawless service that saves them time and offers them convenience. In this role, you will be working with a broad set of cross-functional partners across operations, data science, design, engineering, marketing and more.

  Deeply understanding customer needs globally and defining a long-term vision for how Uber will help make their lives easierDeveloping hypotheses for customer and uses cases and rapidly iterating through hypotheses to find product market fit for various use cases quicklyPutting together a holistic understanding of customer base, sources of user acquisition and funnel conversion including repeat usage and churn and identify biggest opportunities to form a cohesive strategyIdentifying the core challenges among existing Uber users that have prevented them from using this product and designing experiences to help overcome themIdentifying top-of-funnel strategies to attract new users to Uber for this offeringEngaging all growth tactics from in/out of app communication, promotions, marketing, upselling/cross-selling to grow this business 10X, then 100XExpanding our offering to more markets including assessing product market fitCreating a sustainable and differentiated offering that makes Uber the ubiquitous product for all consumer convenience needs

  ---- Basic Qualifications ----

  Minimum 7 years experience delivering successful and innovative products with your fingerprints all over themConsumer growth experience. You would have directly worked on growing usage and engagement of a tech consumer product, ideally within a marketplace business. You are familiar with consumer funnel analysis, experiment design, marketing tech, CRM, and conversion tacticsPeople management experience. You will be directly managing a small team of PMs and influencing several others who will look to you to set a consumer vision for new verticalsTechnical savviness. Can manifest in different ways: a computer science undergraduate degree, hands-on software engineering experience, or experiences building complex software products side by side with engineers. Technical understanding must go from the highest abstractions down to the metalAttention to detail. The ability to obsess over every single part of the experienceCustomer obsession. The ability to take on complex product challenges and find elegant, simplifying solutions to avoid making them our user's and partner's problemsFinger-tippiness with data. You find a way to get the data you need and whip it into an insightful story with no help. You know how to leverage this data to make decisions without getting stuck in analysis paralysisA "Driver" mentality. You are biased toward action, a great collaborator, a master disambiguator/simplifier, and constantly pushing toward clarity and deliveryGrittiness. You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-onA high bar across the board - from your own contributions to the people you work with to the products you work onA true passion for Uber's mission, our products, and the company's hybrid technology/operations natureA never-ending desire to grow and learn

  Experience building products from 0 to 1Owning and leading strategy for a line of business

  For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$203,000 per year - USD$225,500 per year.

  For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$203,000 per year - USD$225,500 per year.

  For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$203,000 per year - USD$225,500 per year.

  For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits. More details can be found at the following link https://www.uber.com/careers/benefits.

  Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Uber's cultural identity. Unless formally approved to work fully remotely, Uber expects employees to spend at least half of their work time in their assigned office. For certain roles, such as those based at green-light hubs, employees are expected to be in-office for 100% of their time.
