  Position Summary

  We are looking for a talented and experienced Lead Product Director, Design Systems to contribute to the evolution of our enterprise design system, supporting hundreds of designers, thousands of developers, and 40 million customers who use our large collection of websites and native apps. This individual will bring a passion for systems thinking and unifying diverse teams around common solutions to shared goals along with proven success leading design systems product management at scale. This role covers the complete product lifecycle for our design system including intake of feature requests and defects, collaboration on release planning and communications, and evangelizing and consulting with our internal Design Systems consumers.

  As a key member of our Design Systems team, you will partner with our engineering, product, marketing, and omnichannel teams to support the delivery of accessible, simple, elegant, compelling and consistent user-centered design solutions to our broad collection of omnichannel experiences, enabling us to achieve our purpose of helping people with their health wherever and whenever they need us.

  The Lead Product Director is responsible for maximizing the value delivered by the team by leading product management activities across the product lifecycle for the Design System. They do this by ensuring that the team roadmap and backlog are aligned with customer and stakeholder needs. The Product Director is the team's primary customer advocate and primary link to business and technology strategy, enabling the team to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders while continuously evolving the design system.

Has the analytical skills required to understand product vision and translate it into smaller but still valuable pieces.Responsibilities include:Collaborating with Design Systems and other Enterprise Digital leadership to understand, articulate, and realize the vision for our Design SystemEvangelizing the benefits of the Design System to leadership, product, development, and design teamsCollaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and product managers, to gather requirements and feedback for the design system.Owning, updating and communicating the Design System roadmap, enabling our customers to know what we're delivering and when. Managing the backlog and prioritizing features and requirements to meet goals on time with quality.Supporting the teams who are using the Design System by ensuring their questions are answered in a timely mannerCollaborating with our community model champions who partner with our Design System team on building out our design systemContinuously improving the practice of product management and staying current with evolving product practices and development methodologiesSuccessful delivering releases and features according to our roadmapLeading the release management and communication process, ensuring our customers are aware of what we've released and how to take advantage of it. Managing product metrics by defining product metric goals and the right mechanisms to collect, track, report and react to the data. Metrics include adoption, usage, internal customer satisfaction, and effectiveness of Design Systems onboarding.Required Qualifications10 or more years of experience leading an Enterprise Design System from a product or design perspective.10 or more years working in a Digital Product Development organization.Ability to interface with customers to understand their needs, identify open questions and decisions required to meet those needs, prioritize workAbility to work independently to define, prioritize, and track product featuresAbility to communicate well to a wide variety of people including leaders, engineers, architects, designers, marketers, and product managers.Record of delivering features on time with quality and value (with an ability to modify scope).Familiarity working with software development methods such as continuous integration, continuous delivery, unit testing, modules, agile development, etc.Ability to work in a highly technical environment, working with software development and user experience teams.Ability to manage roadmaps containing both design and development itemsPreferred QualificationsExperience building or supporting design systems in FigmaFamiliarity with reusable code created in Angular, React, and Web ComponentsFamiliarity with iOS and Android developmentFamiliarity with accessibility and inclusive designExperience working in SAFeExperience working in regulated environmentsFamiliarity with working in GitHubEducationBachelor's Degree in business, tech, design or equivalent combination of education and experiencePay Range

  The typical pay range for this role is:

  $144,200.00 - $288,400.00

  This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
