Serves as a primary contact and resource regarding all aspects of research grants and contracts, updates databases and accounts, and develops and facilitates operational policies and procedures.Essential Functions •Manages administrative and financial operations for Research Grants & Contracts; reviews and negotiates complex grants, contracts, and subcontracts.•Reviews, processes, and reconciles financial statements, requests, and journal entries as well as grant funding, progress reports, and memos; interprets and reviews documentation for compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.•Prepares, negotiates, and monitors complex budgets, budget justifications, charges, and related documents; manages complex financial activities for research programs.•Serves as a primary contact and resource regarding all aspects of research grants and contracts; answers inquiries, resolves complex issues, and educates faculty, staff, and other related personnel regarding guidelines and regulations.•Updates and maintains databases and accounts; coordinates correspondence with external organizations.•Develops and implements policies and procedures to improve operations.Physical Effort None.
