  WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  This person will collaborate closely with a cross-functional team to proactively develop and lead strategic plans and drive storytelling in service of Nike narratives to an audience of employees, communities, and consumers. As a member of the DEI team, you will be responsible for supporting the activation of highly innovative and targeted marketing and engagement strategies, messaging, and tactics that support the advancement of the DEI strategy and the overall employee experience at Nike. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and Global Communications to develop and drive key storylines, bringing to life new ideas and ways of engaging and up-leveling the relationship between Nike and its employees.

  Cultivating collaboration across the team and fostering effective partnerships is a must. You will have a global mentality, strong strategic instincts, exceptional relationship skills, and be able to handle ambiguity to work across the matrix to execute flawlessly. You value differences and have experience building marketing and engagement strategies around purpose and community that complement heritage moments. You are experienced with new media platforms and integrate them into strategy, constantly testing and iterating. You have been consistently responsible for integrating communications plans with key partners and leaders to build trust and positive working relationships.

  WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

  Reporting to the Sr. Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Programs, you will increase awareness, understanding, and engagement of Nike's DEI journey across key audiences by:

  Ideating and supporting innovative communications strategies tied to Nike's overall DEI narrative with a focus on heritage moment storytelling planning Developing and leading multi-channel employee engagement strategies rooted in Nike's narrative Guiding employee network communications teams to help drive Nike's narrative through breakthrough storytelling Drafting messaging and ideating tactics that position Nike as a leading innovation brand Sourcing, creating, and distributing content and stories through Nike's internal/external communication channels Assisting the management of PR agency relationships, writers, editors, photographers, creatives, freelancers, and other external partners streamlining the contractors' sourcing, onboarding, and work assignments. Providing overall DEI communications support, including executing events, writing team emails, newsletters and social posts, and developing presentations and others comms assets.  Furthering advance our culture of DEI through content and engagement strategies that celebrate our legacy, elevate our accomplishments, and bring to life our purpose.

  WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

  As part of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Team, you'll work closely with Global Communications, employee resource groups, Purpose, Brand Teams, and key external partners. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Diversity Programs, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, based in Beaverton, OR.

  WHAT YOU BRING

  Bachelor's degree in Journalism, PR, English, Humanities, Sociology, Psychology, Communications, or related subject area 5-7+ years of professional experience in corporate, agency, and/ or public relations roles supporting global brands with a strong preference for an emphasis on culture and sport Proficient with narrative messaging and materials - particularly adept at writing, flexible in various formats Comfortable trying innovative approaches and strong professional agility Proficiency in a second language is beneficial Proficiency in all media platforms is required
