Set-up, operate and adjust machinery according to laser set up sheet and/or Kanban cardsOperator the laser computerLoad raw steel to laser and unload finished product from laserPerform a visual inspection of raw steel and finished jobsAdvise lead/supervisor of shortages or poor quality materials/productsAccurately count all pieces to ensure no extra or missing partsTag completed jobs with date, quantity, and producer's nameReport supply needs, equipment breakdowns to lead/supervisorMaintain all equipment in department as guidelines direct and complete daily PM logComplete all required paperwork in a correct and timely mannerOperate hoist and manual pallet jackNON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Assist in steel room operationsPerform other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:

Experience in a manufacturing environment in metal fabrication and/or Laser operationMechanical aptitudeBasic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide) using a calculatorHigh school diploma or equivalentRead tape measure, blueprints and process sheets in both standard and metricAble to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, write and understand)Possess computer skills necessary to operate the laser computerPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
