Landscape Laborer. 12 temporary/full-time positions w/ Shady Tree Lawn & Garden LLC from 4/1/2024-12/2/2024. Landscape/maintain grounds of property using hand/power tools/equip. Wrkrs typically perform a variety of tasks which may incl. any combo of lay sod/mow/trim/plant/water/fertilize/dig/rake. Must exercise independent judgment; may be asked to demo tasks to other employees but position doesn't include supervision of other wrkrs. Must lift/carry 50 lbs when nec. Sat work req'd when nec. Emplyr paid post-hire drug test req'd of foreign/domestic wrkrs upon suspicion of use. Req's 3 months previous landscape experience. Emplyr pays in advance or reimburses wrkrs in 1st workweek for all gov't-mandated/visa-related fees (excl. passport fees). For non-local wrkrs residing outside normal commute distance emplyr reimburses inbound travel costs at 50% point in contract unless paid in advance. Inbound travel incl. transport costs from wrkr's permanent residence or place of recruitment, a daily meal subsistence (based on rates req'd by law, currently $15.46/day min or $59/day max for wrkrs w/ acceptable receipts), & reasonable lodging costs if applicable. Travel reimbursements based on least-cost common carrier rate. Emplyr provides or pays outbound travel costs upon completion of contract period or early dismissal except where wrkr has subsequent emplymnt. Emplyr guarantees to offer hours equal to at least 3/4 of the workdays in each 6-week period of total contract period beginning w/ wrkr's 1st workday & ending on contract end date or any extension. Emplyr may count all hours worked as well as any hours offered w/in standard work schedule that a wrkr chooses to not work up to the max # of daily hours on job order. Wrkrs who voluntarily abandon emplymnt not entitled to payment for outbound travel costs or full 3/4 period guarantee. Emplyr provides w/out charge all tools/supplies/equipment (incl. uniforms if applicable) necessary to perform duties assigned. If requested emplyr helps non-local wrkrs secure optional wrkr-paid lodging (not to exceed fair market value based on # of occupants; cost TBD). Emplyr provides incidental transport between job sites. No daily transportation to/from worker's home and primary worksite. Such transportation complies with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws/regulations. Wage no less than $20.81/hr. OT hours vary @ $31.22/hr. Raises/bonuses may be offered at emplyr's discretion based on individual factors such as performance/skill/tenure. Single workweek used to compute wages due. Payroll period weekly. Wrkrs paid by check Friday. Standard work schedule 7AM-3:30 PM M-F. Employer will offer 40 hours per week. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours, depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours. Employer makes all payroll deductions required by law. Employer does not envision other workforce-wide payroll deductions.
