Chiquita Canyon Landfill, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Landfill Gas & Liquids Technician to join the team in Castaic, CA!

　　The schedule will be Monday-Friday primarily, with occasional required overtime and weekend work. Shift is 8am-4:30 or 5pm.

　　The pay range for this position is $32-34/hour, depending on experience. We also offer great family benefits, a 401k match and paid time off.

　　DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

　　Clean and repair leachate or water pump by lifting and lowering 100 foot long cables

　　Assembling new parts on existing pumps

　　Checking, monitoring and cleaning gas wells

　　Reading and keeping track of gas well data

　　Operating small pieces of equipment such as backhoe

　　Working with team and contract employees

　　Working outside in all weather conditions.

　　Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

　　WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

　　Work involves constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, bio hazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises

　　Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.

　　Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.

　　MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

　　Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules that are set forth; promotes the Company’s safety standards; work with a sense of honesty, integrity and trustworthiness.

　　Ability to adhere to work schedule and follow through on challenges as they arise

　　Minimum 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

　　Equipment operating experience is preferred.

　　Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
