　　Overview

　　Gilbane Development Company looking for Land Acquisition Associate that has a strong desire to grow within a dynamic real estate development organization. The candidate must have a keen interest in leading land acquisition in different markets that aligns with our strategy.

　　Responsibilities

　　Identifying, researching, underwriting, investigating, qualifying, and managing the purchasing of land for student housing developmentNetwork with brokers, developers, engineers, planners, municipalities, and landowners for new acquisition opportunitiesUtilize GIS Software to source for opportunities with the potential for usePerform preliminary due diligence and underwriting to determine the viability of each dealAssist in negotiating terms and specifics of purchase and sale agreements.Maintain updated land use plans and databaseManage a pipeline of deals through completionTravel to sites throughout the US as needed, up to 50% of the time

　　Qualifications

　　Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, or related field is preferred5+ years of experience in land acquisition required. Experience in multifamily and/or student housing highly preferredExperience with GIS software (geothinQ preferred)Experience with financial modeling is preferredKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft office suite and GIS softwareStrong entrepreneurial mindsetGilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
