Description: The Laborer, Roads and Grounds, maintains grounds of industrial, commercial or public property such as buildings, camp and picnic grounds, parks, playgrounds, greenhouses, and athletic fields, and repairs structures and equipment, performing one or more of the following tasks: removes snow from walks, driveways, roads, or parking lots, using shovel and snow blower. Spreads salt on walkways and other areas. May repair fences, gates, benches, tables, guardrails, and outbuildings; and may assist in repair of roads, walks, buildings, and mechanical equipment. These duties and others as assigned must be performed within the performance and the scope of safety as established by regulation standards or by company policy.

Physical/Environmental Requirements: The incumbent performs work primarily in a setting out of doors and must be able to frequently stand, walk, and sit during extended periods. He/she must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds and push/pull 100 pounds, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and handle, in order to load and unload materials and equipment; must be able to alert oneself to safety hazards and have a method of communication so that the individual and those around can understand and respond; must be able to see and tell colors, as driving and operating power equipment is required. Exposure to various temperatures and weather including snow, rain, wind, dust, dirt and the like. Vison and hearing must be within normal parameters with or without correction.

Required Qualifications:

HS Diploma or Equivalent

Security Clearance (or Ability to obtain upon hire)

Pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical

At least-one year of experience in snow removal (manual / shovel), maintaining walkways (ice / slush).

Must be able to work independently

Experience in operating small trucks and snow removal equipment

Necessary License or Certification:

Valid Driver's License

Work Schedule:

** This is an On-Call position and the seasonal in nature.

Could require 40 hours per week or more dependent on weather.

Various shifts, which may include evenings, Saturdays and Sundays
