　　Schedule: Sunday – Wednesday or Wednesday – Saturday; Variable start time of 2 – 3 am

　　Overview

　　This client is an industry-leading pharmaceutical company focused on infectious disease. In this role you’ll be working with interdisciplinary teams to handling all infectious disease testing in a laboratory setting. This role will give you an opportunity to process samples and report results to clients while helping deliver diagnostics and new therapies to patients and their families.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Providing day-to-day supervision of high complexity test performance by qualified testing personnel while ensuring each employee has the necessary tools and supplies to complete their job in an efficient high-quality manner.

　　Performing sample processing, DNA extraction and PCR and ability to run KingFisher Flex, Veriti Pro, Accufill and QuantStudio 12K and 5.Performing specimen processing and PCR reactions, as needed

　　Assist maintaining all compliance documentation in accordance with regulating bodies (CAP, CLIA, etc) including cleaning logs, maintenance logs, IQ/OQ/PM’s etc, while collaborating with the Quality Analyst on writing, updating, and maintaining SOP manual. Providing training and guidance to all testing personnel; and ensuring completion of periodic competency assessments

　　Ensure proper communication to technical lab upon any changes to protocol or company policies and is responsible for monitoring test analyses and specimen examinations to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance is maintained.

　　Continuously monitor and develop workflow processes as needed to ensure timely turnaround, efficiency, and quality of specimen processing while providing technical oversight to lab personnel who perform testing procedures.

　　Strong understanding of procedures, SOPs, QC/controls to ensure accurate and valid data is reported and responsible for supporting menu validations.

　　Qualifications:

　　Bachelor of Science or similar with necessary coursework for scientist duties

　　1-2 years of high complexity PCR experience and knowledge of clinical lab services

　　1-2 years of team leadership experience

　　Technical knowledge to monitor lab operations

　　Must have the ability to interact effectively with co-workers and clients, and exercise self-control and diplomacy in customer and employee relations’ situations
