We deliver and coordinate a continuum of high-quality healthcare with the goal of improving the health of our communities. _Job Description_ Under the direction of the Supervisor, the lab assistant is responsible for support functions, preanalytical processing, preparing specimens to send to appropriate reference laboratories and accessioning/ registration functions. * High School Graduate or equivalent * 1 year of experience in a laboratory, medical or other related settingORany experience or training that supports minimum training for the duties above. * Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal, written and listening) skills and good leadership abilities. * Ability to comply with OSHA and applicable regulatory requirements by following established procedures in order to maintain a safe laboratory environment and to meet accreditation standards. * Ability to be flexible as required to adapt to laboratory needs as related to testing and scheduling.
