Actalent is currently partnering with a manufacturing facility in the Chattanooga area in need of a Laboratory Technician to join their team. Please see below for details and qualifications!
Description:
Responsible for conducting product testing and analyses on cellulose products
Responsible for safeguarding product safety and quality while meeting the Plant and regulatory standards, and has the oversight responsibility for a continuous quality improvement program that includes quality control and quality assurance
Responsible for ensuring the production and distribution of products meets or exceeds all quality standards
Also has the responsibility for communicating quality results and the transfer of quality knowledge to the team
Skills & Qualifications:
Good understanding of basic chemistry, biology, physical principles, and process control required
Bachelors of Science preferred
Manufacturing experience required
Excellent verbal, written, and math skills
Skill in organization, prioritization, and attention to detail
Capable of comprehending and executing SOPs
Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Ability to work safely in an environment with potentially hazardous chemicals.

3rd shift, rotating weekends
Will train on 1st shift
$23/hr
