POSITION SUMMARY
Jo Malone London have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven Commercial Manager, supporting all sales channels of the business including Jo Malone London boutiques. This dynamic role covers Account Management for key retail partners in UK & Ireland along with a strong focus on supply, operations and merchandising.
A central role within the Jo Malone London team, reporting to the Jo Malone London Commercial and Operations Director, you will work in close collaboration with the Marketing, Online, Retail and Education, Operations and Finance teams to drive our holistic regional vison and deliver against our financial targets. The successful candidate for this role will possess strong commercial acumen, have excellent negotiation skills, and be able to quickly build outstanding collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
WHAT THIS ROLE DOES
This position is responsible for:
Net sales and promotional planning, including NPD forecasts
Contribute to financial forecasting across the business reviewing monthly and quarterly with primary responsibility of the gross sales and discounts
The efficient running of brand inventory alongside Demand and Supply teams, ensuring all concession and wholesale accounts are holding optimal stock levels to maximise retail sales
Collaborate with Marketing Team to ensure alignment and execution of bespoke Retailer and Pure Play 360 Marketing plans aligning to commercial and high traffic moments.
Support Jo Malone London Commercial Director with retailer partnerships, providing consumer insight and competitor activity
Role Responsibilities include:
Monitor the smooth running of the Automated Stock Replenishment Systems, liaising with stakeholders accordingly to ensure all touchpoints are aware of changes to forecast and/or stock supply
Thorough review of all brand inventory including the efficient management of collateral items such as gift boxes and ribbon to be kept in stock and on budget
Overarching responsibility of commercial forecasting including new launch programmes, seasonal uplifts and events
Liaise with marketing team to ensure comprehensive commercial calendar is in place with all retailers – key metrics to be monitored, analysed and shared with the team
Support Jo Malone London Field teams to optimise allocations, providing open communication on trade insights and stock levels in-store
Develop best-practices within your role based off functional needs and historical sales / inventory patterns to automate areas of the planning process
Work closely with Jo Malone London Retail Operations Manager supporting new store openings, refurbishments, pop-ups and VM changes
Cascade retailer feedback, marketing comms, promotions and activity to wider Jo Malone London team ensuring plans are continually reviewed alongside these
Support Jo Malone London Commercial Director with preparation of Internal meeting presentations for monthly business reviews and Inventory Business Plans along with external strategy meetings
Management and development of the Retail Planning Assistant
Qualifications
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESFUL IN THIS ROLE
Multiple years experience in a Commercial, Sales or Analytical role
Luxury, Beauty & high-profile Retail brand experience ideal but not essential.
Proven track record of successful inventory management including forecasting, attainment and excess usage plans
Bright, confident, ambitious & collaborative.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills – able to interpret extensive data to make actionable recommendations to the business.
Excellent Excel & PowerPoint skills.
