　　GENERAL FUNCTION

　　Ensure the streamlined operation of the MIS Department in alignment with the business objectives of the Plant, Zone and Corporate by planning, coordinating, directing, and designing IT-related activities of the organization, as well as providing technical and administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department.

　　Be a part of Plant’s Automation journey. Provide guidance and support, as plant becomes more connected.

　　MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

　　Work closely with decision makers in other departments and facilities to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.

　　Define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices in collaboration with counterparts in EssilorLuxottica (both at Zone and Corporate level).

　　Manage and lead the MIS team in determining root cause analysis and permanent resolution, planning and implementing maintenance, modifications and enhancements to the Local Automation, MES and others, coordinating network changes with other departments, managing network vendor performance through routine measurements and reviews, and maintaining a high level of expertise on current and emerging technologies.

　　Serve as the department liaison towards the Business Units and project teams, producing design, architecture, set up and methodology, supporting developments and technical set up (network and system level) while interacting regularly and building positive relationships with individuals at various levels of management and IT staff members.

　　Manages and directs the efforts of personnel in area of responsibility and provides leadership that fosters teamwork, employee respect, empowerment and open communications. Recommend and implement practices and policies that maximize employee development, training and performance.

　　Budget responsibility including preparing and managing the MIS department’s Operating budget as well as 3-5 year Capital planning budgets.

　　Is an active member of department and facility teams. Actively participates and shares knowledge with team members and other teams. Challenges the team with new ideas and models good work habits. Attends and participates in internal team meetings. Supports the success of the team and takes initiative and responsibility to ensure the team’s goals and objectives are met. Helps others to achieve and succeed with team objectives and supports the growth and development of his/her team.

　　Develops dashboards for Shopfloor management or individual departments by using SAP’s Business objects (BO), MS’s Power BI, Qlik Sense or other similar systems.

　　Serves as a training resource and supports the development of others.

　　Travels other sister sites (both nationally and internationally) to benchmark for best practices.

　　Support a 24/7 factory with various IT assets, which are critical for business continuity.

　　BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

　　Bachelor’s degree in IS or business, Minimum of 8+ years of experience in IT, including 5+ years of experience in Management.

　　Strong Project Management and Systems analysis skills with experience in Infrastructure design, integrated systems and Microsoft technologies with excellent trouble shooting and problem solving skills.

　　Domestic and International travel required

　　Prior knowledge of development of data visualization and dashboards by using business intelligence softwares like SAP’s Business objects (BO), MS’s Power BI, Qlik Sense or other similar systems, is a plusEmployee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
