Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY CMD MISSION SUPPORT COMMAND/ACOFS, G-6 FORT BELVOIR, VA. Responsibilities Oversees a full range of Network Enterprise Services for INSCOM’s multiple networks spanning, multiple buildings, and sites in the National Capitol Region. Conducts performance assessments of enterprise Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) systems for global customer support services. Serves as a lead technical network engineer monitoring network performance and operations. Directs efforts within INSCOM to implement major changes to the environment as it relates to network management, security, operations, and maintenance within the organization to include development of cost estimates and input to budget documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12).
