CACI is seeking a skilled and experienced Middle to Senior Level Network Engineer to join our team. This role involves providing critical network engineering support to our Army customer, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of their network systems. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure, and will play a key role in strategic network planning aligned with Army IT initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, install, configure, and maintain network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other related network hardware and software.
• Analyze and optimize network performance, ensuring high availability and reliability for Army operations.
• Lead projects for network improvements and upgrades, coordinating with various teams to ensure seamless implementation.
• Provide high-level troubleshooting and problem resolution for network issues.
• Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams.
• Work closely with Army stakeholders to understand their network needs and provide solutions that align with their objectives.
• Implement and manage network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
• Coordinate with vendors for the procurement and management of network resources.
• Train and mentor junior network engineers and support staff.
• Stay current with emerging network technologies and recommend upgrades and improvements.
Required Qualifications:
• Active TS/SCI and ability to obtain CI Poly
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on supporting military or government clients.
• Must possess the necessary training and certification in accordance with DOD 8570.01-M.
• Candidates must be able to remain compliant according to the IAW AR 25-2 Chapter 3 and DOD 8570.01-M.
• Certified CompTIA Security+ or obtained within 60 days of start
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), network infrastructure, and network security principles.
• Effectively communicate progress and updates to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
• Ability to proactively identify potential technical challenges and make strategic decisions to mitigate or resolve issues.
• Must be able to provide exceptional customer service by addressing technical inquiries, resolving issues efficiently, and ensuring customer satisfaction with IT solutions and services.
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or other major networking hardware and software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Desired Qualifications:
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent.
• Experience with network management and monitoring tools.
