  Responsibilities

  Enterprise Mobility continuously strives to modernize our solutions to keep pace with the competitive market and the dynamic needs for data across the company’s technology solutions and business functions. Our Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) DevOps team is responsible for executing the technology portion of the Data Strategy IT pillar. This team will work closely with technology leaders across the Cloud Data Engineering team, and with industry partners, to implement innovative solutions for automating the engineering and operation of our Enterprise Data Lake. Our EDL DevOps team within Data Engineering is responsible for the implementation, administration, operational integrity, and performance of the Microsoft Azure-based data lake platform and solutions. This work is reflective of a significant technology inflection point as it reflects moving our data solutions from a back-office function primarily supporting reporting, to one in which our data assets are the core representation of the state of our business. This is your opportunity to be a part of the team that automates the engineering of data products for these solutions. 

    

  As the IT Manager , you will lead and grow the DevOps team that engineers, administers, and supports the Enterprise Mobility Enterprise Data Lake (EDL). Your day-to-day responsibilities will include operational, project, tactical, and strategic activities, and will include technical support. As the IT Manager , you will have high-performing technologists on your team who build and administer the DevOps solutions, for such technologies as Microsoft SQL Hyperscale, Cosmos DB, Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS gen 2), monitoring and alerts, security access, systems log analytics, and other Azure platforms which may be extend our competitive edge. Success in this role is characterized by ongoing collaboration, adherence to projects management processes, industry-standard best practices for technical support, team development, continuous improvement, and providing clear communication to internal and external stakeholders.

  Qualifications

  Required:

  Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

  6+ years of related experience

  Proven leadership, results orientation, and self-motivation traits

  Proven success in people management activities, including career planning/support, training, interviewing, hiring, rewarding, disciplining, and performance and salary review

  Prior success leading, mentoring, and developing IT professionals

  Understanding of data security best practices

  Demonstrate analytical skills with the ability to use data for effective story telling

  Demonstrate an understanding of production support models and best practices

  Proficient knowledge of project management concepts, from planning and inception, through implementation and support

  Superb communication skills, with the ability to engage an audience across a broad range of technical expertise and/or business acumen

  Experience in agile methodology and CI/CD principles

  Demonstrates a high degree of collaboration; works well with others; seeks out input from others

  Experience operationalizing solutions and ensuring they can operate at scale, and with high availability and resiliency

  Demonstrated ability to quickly comprehend a broad array of initiatives to direct Project Scope, Requirements Gathering and Change Management to meet changing Business and IT objectives

  Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

  Preferred:

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred

  Experience with Microsoft Azure technologies is preferred

  Experience managing Data Warehouse and/or Data Lake technologies is preferred

  Exposure to FinOps practices is preferred

  Experience Managing a DevOps or DataOps team is preferred

  Experience running IT support and triage teams is preferred

  Experienced in designing, developing, deploying cloud-based solutions which leverage cloud native platforms is preferred
